The Master of Implant & Restorative Dentistry
Dr. Mohamed Othman earned his dental degree from October 6 University in 2004, followed by a one-year internship at October 6 University Hospital. He further advanced his clinical expertise by completing a one-year Implant Training Program through the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in Alexandria, Egypt.
After four years of successful private practice ownership, Dr. Othman relocated to the United States to pursue advanced training. He completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program and a Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry at the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. During his time there, he also served as a Clinical Instructor in the AEGD Residency Program, contributing to the education and mentorship of future dental professionals.
In 2015, Dr. Othman joined St. Vincent Charity Medical Center as Assistant Program Director of the General Practice Residency (GPR) program and was promoted to Program Director in March 2016. His dedication to excellence in dental education earned him the prestigious “Dentistry Teacher of the Year” award for two consecutive academic years (2017–2018 and 2018–2019).
Dr. Othman has extensive advanced training in implant dentistry and is a certified LANAP® dentist. He is also certified in advanced soft tissue grafting procedures, including VISTA (Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access), tunneling techniques, and the Pinhole® Surgical Technique. His comprehensive expertise allows him to provide minimally invasive solutions for gum recession and complex implant-related soft tissue cases.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology — the highest credential in the field of implant dentistry. He is also an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Othman serves as a Clinical Instructor at the Bay Area Implant Institute, where he continues to share his expertise in advanced implant dentistry.
Dr. Othman is committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care with a focus on precision, innovation, and patient-centered treatment.
Outside the office, he enjoys Soccer, Scuba Diving, and Travel. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
