A Long-Term Investment in Your Dental Health
Dental implants are more than just a cosmetic fix. They are a long-term investment in your oral health and quality of life. By mimicking the structure of a natural tooth root, implants stimulate the jawbone and prevent the facial bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing. Whether you are replacing a single lateral incisor or seeking full-mouth bridgework or dentures, our team at Huh Dental Wellness ensures your results are as functional as they are beautiful, preserving your natural facial contours for years to come.
How Dental Implants Work
The 3-Part Dental Implant System
A dental implant consists of three precise components: a titanium post (placed in the jaw acting as a root substitute), an abutment (the connector), and a custom-made crown (the beautiful, visible tooth).
The Process of Osseointegration
Implants are made of biocompatible titanium. Over time, they permanently fuse with your jawbone through a natural process called osseointegration, creating a foundation as strong as a natural tooth.
The Journey to Your New Smile
1
Comprehensive 3D Evaluation
Your journey begins with a thorough radiographic examination and 3D imaging. Our dental experts review your health history to create a personalized plan tailored specifically to your bone structure and goals.
2
Precision Placement
The titanium posts are gently placed into the jawbone. Over the next 3–6 months, the implants bond securely beneath the gums. We provide temporary solutions during this time so you never have to be without your smile.
3
Restoration Artistry
Once the bond is complete, we take precise impressions to craft your custom crown. Whether it’s a single tooth or complex bridgework, our specialists ensure the final result is indistinguishable from your natural teeth.
We treat every implant procedure as a life-changing transformation, ensuring you regain not just your teeth, but the confidence to enjoy life again.

FAQ for Dental Implants
Dental Implants in Sunnyvale, CA
Welcome to Huh Dental Wellness. Led by our Restorative Experts and AGD Master, we provide advanced Dental Implant solutions to restore your confidence and function.
Q. WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT?
Dental implants are 3-part artificial teeth. Each has a titanium screw that an oral surgeon places in your jaw. An abutment protrudes from the implant and holds the crown. The crown is the visible part of the implant that looks like a tooth.
Q. HOW DO DENTAL IMPLANTS WORK?
Implants are made of titanium and permanently fuse with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. This effective bonding of these teeth replacement method allows for eating, chewing, and biting that feels and functions completely natural.
Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A DENTAL IMPLANT?
The process of getting a dental implant can take up to 18 months, but we customize each treatment to your unique needs and consider the complexity of your case, including a potential need for bone grafting.
Q. ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS RIGHT FOR ME?
Dental implants are a safe and viable option for most patients. Even if you have been told that you have an insufficient bone mass to support an implant tooth, bone grafting techniques to bulk up the bone are very successful. Schedule an appointment with us, and we’ll be able to give you a more accurate evaluation of your candidacy for dental implants.
Q. WILL I NEED TO HAVE BONE GRAFTING?
Typically, patients who have been missing a tooth for more than a month require some bone grafting. Dr. Huh takes time to evaluate the surgical site and your particular needs and advise accordingly.
Q. WILL I MISS WORK?
Not much. Our patients usually take the rest of the day off, following an implant procedure, but they are able to return to work the following day with very little discomfort.
Q. DO DENTAL IMPLANTS HURT?
No. The surgical site is kept numb during implant surgery, and there are a variety of anesthetic options to choose from if you’d prefer more sedation. As the anesthesia wears off later in the day, you can manage any mild discomfort with over-the-counter medications.
